About the Artist

Who I Am

I'm Katie McMahon, a Western Australia-based musician performing across Perth, Mandurah and beyond, bringing a warm, feel-good mix of live music to weddings, events and community spaces.

With acoustic guitar and vocals at the heart of what I do, my sound blends nostalgic favourites with modern hits — from Celtic folk influences through to good old classics that get people singing along.

What Drives Me

The best part of what I do? Watching people connect - with each other, with a memory, with a moment they didn't know they needed.

I studied music at school and even won the music prize three years in a row - go me! I didn't come back to the guitar until after I had my two girls and felt I needed something creative that was just for me. With over 10 years of performing experience behind me, I've learned so much in developing my sound. Every gig has taught me how to read a room - from the couple wanting their ceremony to feel intimate and meaningful, to the corporate crowd ready to unwind and also to those in community care whose faces light up when I start singing a familiar song.

I take time to notice what is needed and shape each performance to suit. I feel this creates warm moments that feel easy, warm and genuinely enjoyable for everyone.
